TA-DAAN FACTOR

Since we started our activity in 2018, we had the mission to support and promote artisans and small businesses with the TA-DAAN factor.
🧐 You might ask: "What does it mean exactly? What does this TA-DAAN factor imply?"
And we reply with all the info below 😎👇🏼

  • Sustainability

  • Craftsmanship is of course sustainable itself, as produced on a small scale, with environmentally sensitive production methods, but we promise you that our selection has only handmade*, ethical, cool products made by talented small businesses.

*entirely made in the designer’s studio and/or by an artisan collective of fewer than 10 people

  • Uniqueness

  • Remember that handmade products, even in some sort of (small) scale, are all single pieces, therefore slightly different from the others of the same series and subjected to “imperfections” that make it unique.

  • Transparency

  • Typically with fast fashion or with mass market items you don't know who makes your clothes/ accessories. When you choose to buy from small businesses you have access to that information, you know who makes your products with dedication and care, you know the supply chain is short and much more traceable and transparent.

Sustainability index

We wanted to make it simple and quick for you to recognize why and how the products in this shop are sustainable. We first listed attributes and requirements important to us and to mother earth, grouped into bigger clusters renamed and accurately described. With this index of guarantees, we asked every artisan selling with us to highlight what requirement each of their product meets. Therefore the icons you see on the product page!

*Note that these aren't certificates issued by authorities, but criteria detected by TA-DAAN. Please reach out to us if you want to bring forward some additions.
